How does the manufacturing of resin stamps work?

Here are the main steps in manufacturing a resin stamp, a technical process based on photopolymerization:

Creation of the negative film

  • Printing the visual in opaque black on a transparent film, which will serve as a mask for UV exposure.

Resin preparation and exposure

  • The photosensitive resin, equipped with a base film, is exposed between two glass plates with the negative film. The assembly is exposed to UV light. The transparent areas harden, while the black areas (the visual) remain soft.

Plate development

  • The resin is washed to remove the unhardened parts, revealing the relief impression.

Final hardening – Post-polymerization

  • A second UV exposure is performed to enhance the strength and longevity of the impression.

Complete drying

  • The evaporation of residual moisture helps to stabilize the plate before finishing.

Cutting the impression

  • The plate is cut to the desired dimensions, depending on the chosen mount.

Finishing and assembly

  • The resin impression is mounted onto a base (wood, plastic, or metal) with a cushioning foam if necessary.

Advantages and uses of resin stamp

ADVANTAGES

High precision: it allows for the reproduction of fine details with great clarity, ideal for complex elements such as logos, signatures, QR codes, or detailed typography.

Full customization: entirely customizable, whether in terms of content (text, image, logo) or format (small impression or large surface area). The stamp can be adapted to specific needs.

Durability and robustness: the resin is resistant to intensive use. It maintains the sharpness of the impression over time and does not deform, even after multiple uses.

Fast production: enables meeting urgent requests or small batch orders while offering a high-quality product.

Eco-friendly solution: its manufacturing generates less waste and uses a cleaner process, making this solution more environmentally friendly.

APPLICATIONS

Businesses and administrations: authenticating official documents, marking files, or identifying products.

Crafts and creation: personalizing products (furniture, accessories, decorative objects).

Printing and advertising: marking flyers, invitations, business cards, etc., intended for clients.

Food industry: applying markings on food products such as pastries, cheeses, or meats.

Education and office: marking administrative documents, evaluations, or tests.
