Advantages of our pad printing accessories and consumables

Pad printing is a precise and versatile printing technique that relies on several essential accessories and consumables to ensure optimal quality and high efficiency.

The main elements used are:

Pads: they transfer the ink from the cliché to the object to be printed. Available in different shapes and hardnesses, they adapt to all surface geometries.

Clichés: the photopolymer plates contain the design to be printed. They are essential for accurately reproducing the desired visual.

Inks, solvents, and additives: Inks are formulated for pad printing, ensuring good adhesion and long-lasting durability. Solvents and additives are used to adjust viscosity, control drying, improve ink adhesion and resistance, and facilitate equipment cleaning to ensure consistent print quality.

2-component setting paste: allows for the creation of custom molds used to securely hold the object to be marked during the process.

Cleaning tape: used to keep plates clean during printing by removing excess ink or residues, thereby ensuring a sharp and consistent print.

The exposure unit and UV Mark frame: allow for the engraving and hardening of photosensitive clichés through UV exposure, ensuring the durability and precision of the design.

XY tables and XY tables with rotary axis: provide fine adjustment on two axes and rotation to precisely position the object to be printed under the pad.

Conveyors: they automate the movement of parts between two fixed positions or between two successive printing stations.

Table mounting stand: allows pad printing elements to be fixed securely to a workbench, ensuring safety and repeatability.

The high base: raises the object or printing system to the ideal height for comfortable and precise handling.

The infrared drying tunnel: accelerates ink drying using an infrared heat source, optimizing production lead times.

UV-Mark GF Exposure Unit

The UV Mark GF unit is a compact exposure unit dedicated to exposing photosensitive plates, specifically pad printing clichés, ID-Mark, and Polycolor plates.

In the “+” version, the unit is equipped with an additional lamp with a different wavelength, allowing for the exposure of Metalphoto plates.

Larger than a standard exposure suitcase, it offers a wider exposure surface, allowing for the processing of several plates simultaneously or larger formats, while remaining easy to integrate into a workspace.

Equipped with a vacuum pump, it ensures optimal contact of the film on the material being exposed.

Easy to use and economical, it is perfect for small batches and occasional production runs, combining speed and efficiency.

Tampon silicone de tampographie

Pad Printing Pads

Pads for pad printing ensure the transfer of ink from the cliché to the object being printed. The range is available in various shapes (round, rectangular, conical, pointed, etc.) to adapt to flat, curved, or complex object surfaces.

Each geometry is designed to meet specific needs in terms of precision and coverage.

Made of silicone, the pads combine flexibility, resistance, and elasticity. This material allows them to adapt to contours while returning to their original shape after each impression, thus ensuring excellent longevity.

Pad printing inks, solvents, and additives

Printcolor pad printing inks are specially formulated to fully exploit the potential of pad printing, enabling precise marking of complex shapes and various materials. Offering excellent opacity, high gloss, and durable adhesion, they meet the most stringent technical and aesthetic requirements.

They can also be custom-formulated according to the most common colorimetric standards (RAL, Pantone®, etc.), ensuring a perfect fit for every application.

Available in single-component, two-component solvent-based systems, and universal UV versions, they cover a wide range of industrial applications.

Highly modular, they can be precisely adjusted to processing parameters, specific production requirements, and complex substrates thanks to a wide range of adapted solvents, thinners, and additives, including auxiliaries for Soft-touch surfaces or those with low surface tension.

Water, alcohol, and laser pad printing plates

Pad printing plates are engraved plates that contain the image or text to be printed onto parts. They play an essential role: the ink is deposited into the engraved recess of the plate before being transferred by the pad onto the part.

In operation, the plate is mounted on the pad printing machine. During each cycle, the ink cup ring scrapes and spreads the ink across the plate. The pad then picks up the ink from the recess of the plate to apply it to the part.

The engraving of the plates depends on their type: water or alcohol-washable plates are engraved using an exposure unit (with chemical development), while others are engraved directly via CO₂ laser or fiber laser.

The choice of plate depends on several factors: machine type, production volume, print precision, cost, and desired lifespan.

Two-component setting paste

The two-component setting paste for pad printing is used to create custom molds that serve to securely hold the object to be printed during the process.

The two components are mixed in equal parts to form a flexible paste that perfectly contours to the shape of the object. After hardening, it creates a custom-made mold ensuring stable and durable support.

The object can thus be repositioned repeatedly and precisely for each print. Easy to remove and replace, this solution adapts easily to different shapes and production runs.

tunnel de séchage infrarouge

Drying tunnel

The drying tunnel is a compact piece of equipment used in pad printing to accelerate ink drying after printing.

It operates with a conveyor belt that passes printed objects through a tunnel heated by infrared. The temperature is controlled to allow for optimal ink drying.

There are models with different dimensions, adapted to various production needs.
