How does a Table Pro LTT CO2 laser engraver or cutter work?
A Pro LTT table CO2 laser equipped with a glass tube operates through several key stages:
Laser beam generation
- In the RF tube, a high-frequency (radiofrequency) current is applied to a mixture of gases (primarily CO₂) contained within the tube. This current excites the gas molecules, which produces an infrared laser beam. The RF tube operates using radio waves.
Beam guidance
- The laser beam is then directed through a system of mirrors and focused onto a precise point using special lenses.
Interaction with the material
- Marking: The laser heats the surface, modifies it, and creates a visible contrast.
- Engraving: The laser removes a thin layer of the material, creating a pattern.
- Cutting: With increased power, the laser penetrates the material completely to cut it.
Residue management and cooling
