UV unit for pad printing cliche or signage plate processing.
Working sizes : 254 x 305 mm.
The plate is exposed through a film to produce the printing pattern after polymerization and development.
The exposure unit is equipped with 4 tubes of 15 W, digital timer for exposure time control and foam system to keep film and cliche/plate in close contact.
GF UV unit is used to expose pad printing clichés or signage plates.
Working sizes = 550 x 350 mm.
It is equipped with 6 tubes of 20 W .
Exposure time is adjusted by a digital timer.
A vacuum system, by valve inflation, provides a close contact between film and cliche/plate.
There are multiple possible uses for Polycolor thanks to its durability characteristics and reproduction sharpness, in addition of
- outdoor resistance for indoor and outdoor signage: buildings, parks, gardens ...
- "distinguished" appearance and easy production : Polycolor ® is an excellent solution for decorations and distinctions.
- resistance to industrial environments: Polycolor ® plates and panels are widely used for labels, machine panels and front plates, manufacturer plates ...
The Polycolor process is the fastest method for manufacturing color anodized metal plates.
The process is simple and does not require any special knowledge or complex or expensive materials.
A simple UV exposure unit, water and a sealing tank make it possible to produce high quality nameplates.
Photosensitive anodized aluminum Polycolor for color plates, is easily produced by
- exposing the plate to UV light through a positive film
- developing the plate under running water to remove unexposed areas of the photosensitive layer (protected by the positive film) where aluminum pores are left "open"
- applying inks so that they can penetrate into open pores.
- removing sensitive coat with stripper : resulting marking corresponds to black areas of the positive.
- immersing the plate in a boiling water solution for 10 minutes to seal aluminum pores and "trap" ink inside them.
Just a few easy operations for quality colored signage.
Polycolor is made of anodized aluminum material
After colors are applied, the plate is placed in a boiling solution for 10 minutes, for sealing purposes.
After sealing, ink is trapped inside the anode layer as hard as sapphire.
As a result, product is resistant to abrasion, temperatures, 35-year corrosion, and chemicals.
Polycolor is processed in daylight. Just a nearby water point is necessary to develop the plate and remove the sensitive layer after exposure.
It is preferable to seal plates (in a boiling solution) in another room to avoid condensation.
Polycolor plates are colored with Polycolor inks. 19 colors are available as standard and colors can be mixed or diluted.
Several colors can be applied on Polycolor, using 2 methods:
- non-contiguous colors: it is easy to apply several inks in a single pass while being precise and using fine cotton pads to avoid color mixing
- contiguous colors: the operation is more delicate, each color must be applied one after the other, and the plate must be re-coated with a sensitive layer after each pass. The sensitive layer is applied with a coating roller or an automatic coating machine. To get a uniform coating, it is necessary to work with proper equipment.
Printing photographs on an ID-MARK plate requires the use of a photographic quality film, called "negative halftone".
To get a very good quality film, you can have it printed by digital process.
It is advised to use a UVMark GF exposure unit type, equipped with a vacuum system, to ensure very close contact between film and ID-MARK sheet.
